On 3 July 2015, the Australia and New Zealand Ministerial Forum on Food Regulation1 (Forum) asked FSANZ to review its decision in relation to draft variations to Schedule 17 — Vitamins and Minerals arising from Application A1090.
Before completing the Review, FSANZ analysed the impact on public health, breakfast cereal manufacturers, and consumers, of applying a nutrient profile tool to the previously recommended
voluntary fortification of breakfast cereal with vitamin D. FSANZ is now seeking submissions, including evidence, on the impact of the proposed drafting amendments.
